Fundació Vila Casas

Fundació Vila Casas, an institution founded in 1986 by the pharmaceutical entrepreneur Antoni Vila Casas, is a non-profit private entity whose primary aim is to promote Catalan contemporary art. The essence and raison d’être of the “Fundació Vila Casas” stems from the belief that tradition, culture and language are the main identity axes of our country.
Through the five exhibition sites which are part of our architectural legacy, the Foundation acts as a platform to exhibit our permanent collection as well as to hold temporary exhibitions for our artists.
Additionally, the Foundation performs an important task in the field of socio-sanitary research, always striving to set a dialogue between healthcare professionals, the media and society.
