José Miguel Ullán (Villarino de los Aires, Salamanca, 1944 – Madrid, 2009), poet, writer, journalist, plastic artist…, was a singular and demanding reference for Spanish poetry, art and culture for half a century, from the 1960s to the first decade of the 21st century. His poetic work also generated an intense activity linked to the plastic arts, and was projected in the field of cultural journalism, for whose development since the time of the Transition he was a determining factor.
This publication is the catalog of the exhibition «Visto y no visto. Texto y gesto en José-Miguel Ullán» (MUSAC de León, March 20 to September 27, 2021), an exhibition curated by Rosa Benéitez and Miguel Casado that mainly features works, books and documents from the José-Miguel Ullán Archive, part of the Lafuente Archive collection.
