A review of the most important works and themes of the greatest exponent of Mexican photography.
The book brings together the themes that have interested the artist, who is widely recognised internationally, throughout forty-five years of work, from the 1960s to the present day, without attempting to be a retrospective compilation.
It is divided into twenty sections that cover her life and her travels, compiling the works that have brought her fame and others that are less seen by the general public.
The exhibition, which precedes the book, was curated by Juan Rafael Coronel Rivera and was presented at the Palacio de Iturbide in Mexico City with almost 270 photographs from the photographer’s personal collection; all, with a few exceptions, printed in silver on gelatin, the technique in which she has worked the most.
