The star format for the presentation of contemporary art continues to be the exhibition. An exhibition that undergoes constant modifications, that needs to adapt to the artists’ proposals, rethink its use, analyze itself according to its possible functions and that, in short, cries out to us for a reformulation.

Salir de la exposición (si es que alguna vez habíamos entrado) is an approach to the possibilities of the exhibition, a desire, a look to share with the will to rethink the way art connects with society.

Martí Manen, curator and critic. He has curated exhibitions at Aara (Bangkok), Ca2m (Madrid), Fabra i Coats (Barcelona) and his own room (Salahab, Barcelona), among others. Curator of the Spanish pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2015 and the Momentum biennial in Norway (2019). He has taught at various curatorial studios such as Curatorlab (Stockholm) and Torcuato di Tella University (Buenos Aires). He is director of Index Foundation in Stockholm.
