From her childhood Amelia Moreno lived with the jars of El Dorado, the name of her family’s distillery. As an artist she flourished fully in New York, a city that became her own El Dorado. The superimposition of two elements – jars and skyscrapers – sums up his family and creative roots. And the images in this installation invent El Dorado that I, without knowing her, shared with her.
