Et sic in infinitum was born in 1617 in the treatise on the Macrocosm and Microcosm by the English Rosicrucian physician, inventor, astrologer, urinoromancer, geomancer and metaphysicist Robert Fludd (1574-1637), whom we conjure up as the guardian angel of this fanzine. On page 26 of his “Utriusque cosmi maioris scilicet et minoris metaphysica, physica atque technical historia in duo voluminia secundum cosmi differentiam divisa. Tommus Primus De Macrocosmi Historia” surrounded by four “et sic in infinitums” we find a black square mapping the first matter or “primordial being” before creation.
