Magdalena Llatse Sastre is a selection of photographs that Roger Guaus’ grandfather, Manolo Guaus (1910-2006) took of his grandmother Magdalena Llatse Sastre (1913-2009) during the 1940s and 1950s. At that time, Manolo Guaus took pictures of her tirelessly, non-stop, one after the other. Without knowing to what extent she liked it. Be that as it may, this work is the testimony of a way of photographing, of a way of relating and, perhaps also, of a way of showing off. Magdalena Llatse Sastre is also a tribute to Roger Guaus’ grandmother, a woman whose life was marked by kindness and resignation.
