ArtsLibris
ARCOlisboa - 2023
ArtsLibris in its fifth edition at ARCOlisboa presents 43 national and international exhibitors, with a notable presence of Ibero-American publishers from Brazil, Mexico, Ecuador and Portugal. In addition, it offers an extensive cultural program starring the participating artists and publishers.
Regarding our space for presentations and debates, known as Speakers’ Corner, we continue to expand the programming with the participation of ARCOlisboa galleries. From ArtsLibris and ARCOlisboa, we continue to promote collecting through artist publications, consolidating our proposal as a space for reflection and dialogue around the fundamental role of publications in artistic creation.
The presence of ArtsLibris in ARCOlisboa for several years is of the utmost importance for our project, since it allows us to establish connections between Catalonia and other territories, such as Brazil, through the rich cultural offer of Lisbon. This broadens the projection of our local artists and publishers, fostering exchange between the Mediterranean and Latin America. We are excited to participate in ARCOlisboa 2023 at Cordoaria Nacional, strengthening our relationship with the fair and consolidating ourselves as a benchmark in artistic publications within ARCO.

4 p.m. m. at 17:15 ¿Archives for other stories?
Archives have begun to gain visibility in museums, in curatorship, in art, and in the market. The term “artistic research”, which makes use of archives, shapes contemporary artistic production, transforming the relationships between knowledge and truth in the context of digital technology. On the other hand, museums review their collections and update historical narratives. In a time of dispute and tension between the past and the present, how can working with archives and collections be collaborative?
