Up in the gallery is a very special story, in which Franz Kafka describes a situation of inertia and hopelessness, in which a circus show may not be as we see it, taking us away from the unprecedented fun associated and leaving us in the position of the sensitive spectator willing to stop all that paraphernalia. Beauty and contradiction are protagonists in yet another story by the writer, once again describing the alienation of man in the 20th century.
