of a retraction, a bending of art in relation to its institutional framework, and a splitting of previous modes of aesthetic postulation of the world as \u201clandscape.<\/span><span id=\"p3385\">\u201d<\/span><span id=\"p3084\"><span id=\"p3084-pl\">\u00a0The\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"3310-3311-p3084-pl\">environment<\/span><span id=\"p3084-pl\">\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"3131-p3084-pl\">thus<\/span><span id=\"p3084-pl\">\u00a0emerges as a \u201c<\/span><span id=\"3312-3313-p3084-pl\">scene<\/span><span id=\"p3084-pl\">\u201d, a fluid space-time complex that is\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"3118-p3084-pl\">not defined<\/span><span id=\"p3084-pl\">\u00a0by the social exteriority of its\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"3314-3315-p3084-pl\">forms<\/span><span id=\"p3084-pl\">, but by the internal dynamics of its\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"3316-3317-p3084-pl\">forces<\/span><span id=\"p3084-pl\">.<\/span><\/span><span id=\"p3085\">\u00a0The\u00a0<span id=\"3318\">trance<\/span>\u00a0of a\u00a0<span id=\"3319-3320\">thing<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"3367-3368\">is<\/span>\u00a0neither a\u00a0<span id=\"3321-3322\">part<\/span>\u00a0nor a\u00a0<span id=\"3323-3324\">state<\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0<span id=\"3104\">it<\/span>, but something that\u00a0<span id=\"3369-3370\">derives<\/span>\u00a0from\u00a0<span id=\"3105\">it<\/span>.<\/span><span id=\"p3086\"> <\/span><span id=\"p3087\">That other\u00a0<span id=\"3111\">place<\/span>,\u00a0<span id=\"3325\">similar<\/span>\u00a0to a\u00a0<span id=\"3113-3326-3327\">container<\/span>,\u00a0<span id=\"3122-3371-3372\">is<\/span>\u00a0a transportable\u00a0<span id=\"3112\">place<\/span>\u00a0with the\u00a0<span id=\"3328-3329\">exception<\/span>\u00a0that the\u00a0<span id=\"3114-3330-3331\">container<\/span>\u00a0is never part of its\u00a0<span id=\"3332-3333\">content<\/span>.<\/span><span id=\"p3088\"><span id=\"p3088-pv\">\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"3124-3132-p3088-pv\">Thus<\/span><span id=\"p3088-pv\">,\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"3115-p3088-pv\">insofar<\/span><span the\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"3337-3338-p3088-pv\">form<\/span><span id=\"p3088-pv\">, and\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"3116-p3088-pv\">insofar<\/span><span id=\"p3088-pv\">\u00a0as\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"3107-p3088-pv\">it<\/span><span id=\"p3088-pv\">\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"3375-3376-p3088-pv\">contains<\/span><span id=\"p3088-pv\">\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"3108-p3088-pv\">it<\/span><span id=\"p3088-pv\">,\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"3109-p3088-pv\">it<\/span><span id=\"p3088-pv\">\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"3377-3378-p3088-pv\">is<\/span><span id=\"p3088-pv\">\u00a0something other than matter.<\/span><\/span><span id=\"p3089\">\u00a0<span id=\"3110\">It<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"3125-3379-3380\">teaches<\/span> us that all space <span id=\"3381-3382\">is<\/span>\u00a0parataxis:<\/span><span id=\"p3090\">\u00a0without\u00a0<span id=\"3339-3340\">origin<\/span>\u00a0or\u00a0<span id=\"3341-3342\">orientation<\/span>, intense but not extensive, liminal from the\u00a0<span id=\"3343-3344\">limit<\/span>.<\/span><span id=\"p3091\">\u00a0<span id=\"3345\">Trance<\/span>\u00a0<span id=\"3127-3383-3384\">is<\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0<span id=\"3346-3347\">silence<\/span>\u00a0or\u00a0<span id=\"3348-3349\">secret<\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0<span id=\"3350-3351\">art<\/span>, its absolutely contemporary reconfiguration, through which
