El horizonte oce\u00e1nico, siempre inalcanzable, y la inmensidad de su superficie, cambiante e invariable, siempre han encarnado la experiencia de lo eterno. La profundidad inexplorada que nos separa de su lecho es lo otro de lo humano, insondable y peligroso, pero tambi\u00e9n el hogar de nuestros miedos y deseos. Anhelamos y tememos al oc\u00e9ano como a un espejo de nuestra propia finitud.<\/p>\n<p>Este libro es tambi\u00e9n un doble ejercicio de traducci\u00f3n. Por una parte, es un intento por sintetizar la instalaci\u00f3n A contraluz del artista Giovanni Vargas, cuyo tema era las relaciones entre el oc\u00e9ano, la muerte y lo humano. Para ello, tuvimos que repensar el soporte y los medios de impresi\u00f3n: en lugar de tinta, el papel se imprimi\u00f3 con cloro en gel, es decir, no le agregamos color al papel; lo decoloramos con los dibujos de Giovanni.
