No obstante, diversas manifestaciones art\u00edsticas lograron abrirse paso, en determinados c\u00edrculos y sin llegar al gran p\u00fablico, para que los artistas pudiesen expresar su identidad sexual con la discreci\u00f3n obligada por la moralidad imperante. Es el caso de Duncan Grant, Romaine Brooks o Claude Cahun en la primera mitad del siglo pasado.<\/p>\n<p>El pudor se rompi\u00f3 a lo largo de los a\u00f1os setenta con el surgimiento de colectivos homosexuales que irrumpen en la v\u00eda p\u00fablica tanto en Nueva York como en Par\u00eds, Santiago de Chile o Barcelona. Paralelamente, algunos artistas como Robert Mapplethorpe, censurado por los sectores m\u00e1s conservadores y ultrarreligiosos, mostraba en sus im\u00e1genes una sexualidad inconcebible para la sociedad mojigata.<\/p>\n<p>Los a\u00f1os ochenta y noventa afianzaron el retorno de las pol\u00edticas sex\u00f3fobas al convertir el sida en una condena moral. En esos tiempos tan duros emerge la denominada teor\u00eda\u00a0<em>queer\u00a0<\/em>y una pl\u00e9yade de artistas inconformistas ponen de manifiesto sus deseos heterodoxos, sus formas de vida alternativas a la familia nuclear.
