A pesar de que Camp\u00faa fue el fot\u00f3grafo habitual de Franco y la familia real espa\u00f1ola durante la dictadura, limitar la definici\u00f3n de Camp\u00faa al apelativo de \u00abel fot\u00f3grafo de Franco\u00bb es caer en el reduccionismo. La mirada que ofrece este libro nos permite profundizar en la obra de este fot\u00f3grafo y nos hace descubrirle como una figura absolutamente poli\u00e9drica. Es una ocasi\u00f3n para vencer prejuicios, ampliar la mirada y ver el retrato de toda una sociedad pasar por delante de la c\u00e1mara de este gran maestro de la fotograf\u00eda espa\u00f1ola del siglo pasado.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Este nuevo libro forma parte de la colecci\u00f3n PHotoBolsillo, que publica cuidadas monograf\u00edas de los fot\u00f3grafos espa\u00f1oles, latinoamericanos y africanos m\u00e1s importantes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jos\u00e9 Demar\u00eda V\u00e1zquez<\/strong>\u00a0(Madrid, 1900-1975), conocido como Camp\u00faa, fue reportero gr\u00e1fico y empresario del teatro y del cine. Colabor\u00f3 con importantes medios de la \u00e9poca como Mundo Gr\u00e1fico, La Esfera o Nuevo Mundo; cubri\u00f3 las campa\u00f1as de \u00c1frica, as\u00ed como multitud de eventos y sucesos del d\u00eda a d\u00eda, desde carreras de motor hasta accidentes de tranv\u00eda. En 1922 fue el \u00fanico fot\u00f3grafo que acompa\u00f1\u00f3 a Alfonso XIII en su famoso viaje a Las Hurdes y, durante la guerra civil se uni\u00f3 al bando nacional realizando incontables fotograf\u00edas tanto en el frente como en la retaguardia. Tambi\u00e9n fotografi\u00f3 a innumerables personalidades de la sociedad, las artes y la pol\u00edtica, incluyendo a Truman Capote o Gregory Peck, entre muchos otros.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
