An archive, study centre, gallery and workshop in progress all in one, the roots of the Spazio Libro d’Artista lie in the magazine Carte d’Arte Internazionale, now over two decades old. Over the years, artists such as Michelangelo Pistoletto, Gilberto Zorio, Mel Bochner, Mario Merz, Jan Vercruysse, Vito Acconci, Julian Opie, Christian Philipp Müller, Victor Pasmore, Max Neuhaus, Joe Tilson, Yoko Ono, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Ed Ruscha and many others have entrusted their projects and ideas, as well as giving interviews, to the journal, thereby creating the impetus for collaborations, editions and artist’s books.
