Set in a former mill in the town of Capellades (Barcelona), the Museu Molí Paperer is one of the top paper museums in Europe. Since 1961 it has been producing handmade, acid-free paper using high-quality fibres, special sizes, watermarks and finishes, which are particularly suitable for graphic art and artist’s books. The museum works with the artists Jaume Plensa, Perejaume, Miquel Barceló, Amparo Sard and Rosó Cus, among others. It makes paper and diplomas for the Governments of Catalonia and Andorra, Ferran Adrià and the literary agency Carmen Balcells (for Miquel Barceló’s “Thopaga” and “2002-2003″). It has also collaborated with Carles Santos.
