Librería El Astillero has been travelling around Spain for 17 years. Salamanca, Valladolid and Barcelona were part of this journey. We finally decided to settle down. The location was a hard choice, but we finally found it: the Net. The Internet is the perfect space to be seen 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and anywhere in the world. We buy and sell 20th-century books, documents and graphic works, focusing our interest mainly on the world of Latin American art and literature. Our collection is updated daily with new acquisitions. Our intent is to participate in national and international events to show an everyday material in a new way. Arts Libris shares this spirit.

At VISUAL MANIAC we sell digital books and magazines about art, architecture, design and photography and we think that the internet is mankind’s best invention since the discovery of fire. Although we love the papery smell of a good book or a magazine fresh off the press, we’re inconceivably drawn to pixels, their immediacy and their lightness. That’s why we want to offer the best digital publications in the creative and cultural industries. Buy, rent or browse through the books and magazines in our catalogue for free and read them on your computer, iPad or Android tablet.

Welcome to the future.

Tristan Barbarà has been specialised in publishing limited editions of large format prints and artist’s books since 1982. Artists, writers and the publisher are closely involved in the design of the work, gathering together in the chalcography workshops founded in 1950 by Joan Barbarà. Traditional engraving techniques are constantly adapted in order to meet the artist’s need, drawing on a constant supply of analyses and research to help the artist develop their language. As well as curating graphic art exhibitions, Tristan Barbarà exhibits at galleries and museums. Books, catalogues and international awards attest to the quality of these editions.

Standard Books’ world is the world of signature photography.
A world where the photograph crosses paths with other art disciplines, a world of alternative documentary sources, a world of photographic compulsion and collection of images, a world of creative independence linked to photography. The place where impossible projects are made possible.
Standard Books promotes the work of emerging authors with ties to the local culture and accompanies them throughout the entire creative process, providing them with the necessary tools to carry out their projects with no limits.

“Sigilosamente” is a joint action defining the creation of 13 unique, sealed artist’s books.
13 letters, one per author, lend their name to the action “S-I-G-I-L-O-S-A-M-E-N-T-E”.
They share and keep silent about the contents of the works. Loyal to their pact, their texts and allegorical elements are hidden inside each work.
The act of sealing.
Seal users open spaces, spill their secrets into them, and then silence their contents to prying eyes.
Proposal: Preserve the sealed book (You will be its custodian) or open it (You will become a subjective part of the act-object itself)…. There’s something inside I wish to but cannot unveil to you.
The group presents its folder Caminos at ARTS LIBRIS.

Artist’s roster
Natalia Auffray, Marta Bielsa, Teresa Císcar, Juan Carlos Estudillo, Sabine Felden, Osvaldo Giuliani, Miguel Angel Invarato, Salvador Lorén, Yolanda Martín, Juan Ramón Martín, Elena Moltò, Ana Pérez, Christine Rennotte.
